Politics & International Relations
Combining the traditional disciplinary strengths of Political Science with a markedly multi-disciplinary approach to the study of International Relations, the Department of Politics and International Relations (PIR) at Florida International University offers full undergraduate (BA) and graduate (MA, MIS, PhD) programs in both Political Science and International Studies/International Relations.
The department is proud of its 34 nationally and internationally recognized faculty with expertise that is not only geographic (in particular Latin America, Europe and the European Union, the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and East Asia), but also by subfield (American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory).
