The School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University prepares students for the opportunities and challenges of a global society through an innovative interdisciplinary approach to the study of international and public issues.
 
The School provides cutting-edge perspectives, world-class faculty, and the practical and analytical skills necessary to comprehend and compete in today’s globalized world and the international environments that characterize the 21st century workplace. A variety of degree programs are offered at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Additionally, the School offers a number of undergraduate and graduate certificate degree programs designed to complement a student’s major.
 
The academic core of the School is comprised of four major departments: Politics and International Relations, Global and Sociocultural Studies, Public Administration, and Criminal Justice. The School’s centers, institutes, and programs provide students with the opportunity to study Africa and the African Diaspora, Asia, Latin American and the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe, Jews and the Jewish Diaspora, globalization, migration, conflict resolution, national security, labor relations, and spirituality.
